CALLS FOR ART,
NEW EXHIBITIONS, STUDIO SHARE, EXTREME IRONING
 |
Well hello Bruce,
a.k.a. mo,
Bruce
Barone really liked the personalization feature
of this new email thingie so this week he gets to be
part of everyone's greeting! This week we are all just
a little bit Bruce.
Bruce's hobbies include Photography, Ferret racing,
Swahili and Extreme Ironing. (NOTE- Trying too hard
to sound interesting by listing unusual hobbies on your
CV can backfire and freak out potential employers, according
to new research on the BBC).
It seems to me that any guy who irons atop Mt Everest
(pictured) is not afraid of a silly little automatic
name-fill-in feature on an email. Or clowns,
for that matter. ~Mo |

RECEPTION Feb.5, 2-4 PM
"In a society dominated by technological progress, mass
production and globalization, I choose to work with the
human figure image in traditional media. In my work I am
holding on to a lingering humanity. My work is apocalyptic,
yet hopeful. The most radical thing I can do in a capitalist
system that exploits bodily needs is to affirm the presence
of the body. My sculptures are not real people but they
affirm "real" space suggesting remnants of humanity.
